The Vines - Stableford
This week was 2nd trip out to The Vines. It was early start at 6.30 and again perfect weather with not so perfect scores.
Leigh played his next round of Matchplay against Rob Mathias and came out on top and is on a roll.
The course played hard with 3 putts and lost balls the flavour of the day, slow play was a topic of discussion with people taking a few time liberties looking for balls, myself included. The winners played well and probably felt unexpected with no one making handicap. There were plenty in the mid to high 20s and Heiney only just got NAGA from myself by one shot. However, he had back issues and I just had skill issues.
Mitch was threatening again with some good approaches and wasn’t far off the leaders, extending his lead on the Order of Merit and now looks uncatchable.
