The players club took on the challenging fairways of Hamersley Public Golf Course. Despite the course being affectionately referred to as a “goat track,” these sprightly seniors proved that age is just a number when it comes to golf.
The picturesque 18-hole venue, nestled amidst lush parkland and only 20 minutes from Perth’s CBD, provided the backdrop for this spirited battle. Each hole, tree-lined and meticulously maintained, tested the golfing abilities of our intrepid players.
Bob Geddes, emerged as the day’s victor. His steady swing and strategic approach allowed him to conquer the undulating greens and navigate the tricky bunkers with finesse. Geddes, who is surging up the order of merit is sure to win a few awards come year end.
After the final putt dropped, the players club retired to the Odin Tavern, a nearby watering hole known for its hearty brews and lively atmosphere. As the sun dipped below the horizon, they raised their glasses in a toast to camaraderie, resilience, and the joy of the game.
