Josh skips the Easter eggs and wins the day

Updated: Apr 17, 2022

Seaview - Stableford

Well Happy Easter to one and all, hope those who stayed away from Cottesloe did not over indulge in the chocolate egg dept?

Whereas The Seaview Golf club turned on a glorious day for the 14 intrepid non egg indulging golfers who preferred to batter balls all over the show in pursuit of the perfect sculpture by the sea!

As your scribe for today's adventure, we will start the Matchplay between Mr Immaculate (Geddes) and his nemesis Me (Da Pirate) on which Marc had to supply myself with 15 shots over the 18. But he didn’t get it all his own way! Our first par three all 4 of us were on in regulation but there was only one PAR? Marc's even plugged?

Took me 4 holes to get my first points, but we turned with Marc only one hole up, to which I blasted my best drive for the day on the 10th to claim the “B” grade long drive and with all that excitement it was only fitting that I should pop in to the Pro shop and purchase the Pirate driver cover!

The following hole I birdied (with the longest putt) much to Marc's wonderment then it was game on, WRONG!

Marc played some of his best shots and Da Pirate had no answers so finally he sank that Pirate ship, head cover and all 3 and 2.

So that monkey/pirate is off Mr Geddes back so now we’re just mates xx.

Dean and Lui accompanied us around with strange golfing shots of their own, Deano shanking a 90 degree fairway iron to the middle of the footy oval! Thank goodness there was no game on! Then his ball went road side two holes later! How the hell does he win the Money hole? Don't figure!

As for the other adventurers seems there was not a lot to discuss? Trev also dispatched a roadside rocket!

Mark Davies dispatched Pete Fitz 5 and 4, Hoops remarked, that he told the boys prior to coming in 20 meters out that this is in!

And it did but he still got the NAGA!

And of course the Podium finishes were very well deserved without the shenanigans, but all on count-backs Well done lads!

Results in the hands of our secretary
