Founders Cup

1st Craig Markham 41

2nd Lui DINARDO 40

3rd Pete TALLON

NAGA Rob MIZEN 21

This week was Founders Cup, a cup that remembers the founding members and what they create 53 years ago. It’s amazing for a social golf club continuing to strive and grow. It’s never taken for granted though as these things can fall over in an instant without new membership, solid structures behind the scenes and great social relationships.

Pete was up amongst the winners again as he just parred and bogeyed his way around the course on one dodgy knee . Lui strung together a great round as well, I had to leave early so I nervously watched the leader board on the way home waiting to see if he was going to Par the final 3 holes and catch me. Secretly the green keeper was on my side after a tough placement on the Lakes 8th hole which saw most people bogey or worse. I sank some good putts here and there and had 4 balls stop within a foot of a bunker so lady luck was on my side. The whole 4 iron tee off came through again allowing me to par the Pines 9 and the only time was in trouble on the back was when I used the driver. Twelve x Pars and a birdie was enough for the win breaking a long major drought. All the scores across the board the the Master Jacket leader board into a spin as well, that’s now anyone’s race

Thanks to Rob for organising the food, that’s quite the task in the back ground along with the money hole business and also thanks to sponsors of the day.
