El Cabalo Blanco

This week after a minor mix up with Collier we travelled back up the hill to El Cabalo . It’s a great little course and what it lacks in length it makes up in layout and fast greens. Most people lost two shots as well which didn’t help matters. Good to see Jordan (Ryan’s brother) turns up as visitor and Robin Dalby made a rare appearance and made an impact on the novelties.

Dean played the best out of the bunch hitting some nice drives. It was Peters first visit and he probably wonders what all the fuss is about as he has a good day around the greens whilst Heiney was just pretty good all round and could have easily had more, a few tired drives caught him out. My good self-had trouble with the putting and approaches, losing 3 balls that landed on greens for a start which all lead to about the 6th NAGA of the year . Well done to Nigel, Robin and Trev for dominating the novelties.

Moron of the day goes to myself again after playing around with payment for the game on the phone I stopped to take my shot on the Par 3 , the ball took off nice and straight I thought shit ' Money Hole' and I quickly added the extra 5 dollars to the transaction and was hitting save as many times as I could while I watched the ball and hoping for an internet connection. Sure enough the ball was good , well inside the previous marker..... however on closer inspection when we got up there it was about 2cm off the green. But alas I wouldn't have claimed it anyway , lets be clear on that , it wasn't quite fair but was worth the laugh in a race against time.
