Ian bounces back at Araluen

Araluen - Stableford

This week was the picturesque ‘Araluen’, one of the calendar. The course was in good condition and it seemed we had the whole place to ourselves. The greens were difficult to read as usual with most people not knowing what was up or down hill. The overall score were pretty good with a large number of people coming in around the 33 to 34 mark.

Ian was the best on 35 which is great turnaround in form from last week, with Rob Mizen and Mike Newman behind by one point to fill the podium.

Special thanks to Doug and Ian for organizing the group as there was odd numbers when compared to Teamer and with no internet service some minor jiggling of handicaps was also thrown in for good measure. With the long down hill and hard fairway there are always some unusual shots that come out of round up there.

Three of note were Pete Tallon with a 260 meter 3 wood to with a meter of the pin for 2 on the Par 5 8th, on the same hole Craig with a 310m 4 iron and Leigh with 280 meter 5 iron that drew beautifully into the hole and on for two.
