Collier - Stableford
This week was just a standard Stableford round with no added pressure. It was great to play the Pines again for something different and a chance for people to improve on their eclectic scores. The best of the bunch was Norm; his 2 iron never seems to fail him as he put together a steady round to juts pip Trevor on a count back. When Trevor gets the driver going he is always dangerous and just unlucky not to get the win, two interesting scores of the day came from me and Leigh. Any other week Leigh would have came 3rd in the count back as he had 22 points on the back 9. However I strung together 3 under in 8 holes with another 3 birdies lipping out , one bogey bought it back to 2 under after the second nine and 25 points . Playing partner Rob Mathias worked that out to me being one up in another fake Matchplay.
In other news, Doug won the putt off jackpot with a nice smooth left to right down hill putt, taking home $275, congratulations Doug
During the week we played our mid season virtual golf game at the West Australia Golf Club in Yokine. It was a great night which included pizza and drinks. Thanks to Doug for organising the night and Robin was the eventual winner with 24 points after 9 holes. Nigel won the virtual NTP comp, taking home around 30 dollars after a playoff with Pete after both tying at 6.1 m.
