Collier Park - Stroke
This week was good old fashion real golf with a round of stroke which coincides with the first round of the Golden Putter.
As usual the theme of the day was ‘What could have been’, with just the odd hole breaking people down. Sevens and eights were not uncommon. There were of course a few people that held it all together with good course management, which was reflected in their score playing below their handicap.
Jamie FITZPATRICK was the best of the bunch with a 68 on a count back from Norm. He had some good straight drives and found his form with the pouter after changing from left to right handed. Norm was back to some of his best golf with some long low draws off the tee with his 2 iron and his usual reliable short game, as he had his first sub 80 round. Trev who is always hanging around the podium was his usual relaxed self and kept it all in the fairways and putted well.
Basil put together the best Golden Putter performance with 28.
Mitch FITZPATRICK was back for another round and will be a member shortly. The FITZPATRICK clan are catching up to the Scobles!!
