This week was the second last opportunity for a Monthly Medal which coincides with the Golden Putter. The weather was against us with some heavy showers and strong winds that seemed to be against us no matter the hole. This was reflected in most of the score with only 3 people playing to their handicap or better. Jamie Fitzpatrick was the best of the bunch with a great round of net 67 and in a first for the club, his old man book ended the round with a net 83 much to the happiness of Craig whom had a shocker with a net 82. In what seems to a regular occurrence, those that have a long break come back and play really well and make the podium if not win it (Macca and Phil Hudson in recent weeks were great examples of that) Jamie Pickles returned from a few weeks in Europe to smash some great drives and have some good chips to come in 2nd place with a net 72. The ever reliable Norm took out 3rd with a Net 73. The club welcomed two visitors, Kieran Lane and Jordan McDonald, friends of Ryan however if they know much about cricket and saw him play on the Saturday maybe not for much longer.
