Due to some tight fixtures.... this week was the June Monthly Medal and Golden Putter. Being stroke the handicaps started to drain pretty quickly . Craig and Jamie were that group using half their handicaps in the first 6 holes however back to back birdies by Jamie bought him back to a good score . It was good to see Craig Billing back for a game and straight into a Match Play with Steve Heron . It was great conditions but most people struggled. The tees were forward but the pin placements were difficult and the greens running a meter or so quicker throwing people off track. None more deadly than the Lakes 5th across the water , the pin was on the down slope causing all sorts of problems. Trevor had a couple of NTP’s , both were very close with the Pines 7th around 10 cm of going in for a hole in one . Not a bad putt for a two a five ! His good form continued around the course and he took home the win with great net 66 . the ever consistent Hammo and Dave filled the podium with steady rounds , Hammo in particular with some great putting on the back 9 and Dave solid off the tee and with his approaches There were a large number of 3 putts and much to the frustration of Hammo after a brilliant run of 5 one putts a 4 and 3 putt snuck in late in the round disturbing his great score , however he still came out the best of the day with 34 . There were two Matchplays on the day which resulted in a draw between Laurie and Marc with Steve Heron 2 and 1 over Craig Billing .

The Memorial Cup is fast approaching ( June 17th ) and Doug Stewart has requested we all wear the club's anniversary shirt to take a club picture before or after tee off.
The Putt off jackpot is up to $100 and rising despite Steve Heron and Dave.o hitting the cup with their 10 metre putts......make sure you are in next week with a chance to win it....
