This week the club made the drive down to Rockingham, a course that is always difficult as it is deceptively long and tight . Most people struggled and shared their half point scores sheepishly. It was good see Phil back for game and went straight into a Match play with Nigel whom came out the blocks really well Parring a few holes and only being a couple over after 5, not bad for someone playing off a 27. There was nothing Phil could do about it except win one hole and half another to be 6 down after 9 . It was a case of pushing harder to try and peg things back but it wasn’t to be as Nigel won 8 and 6. Once the game was over Nigel started to spray a few but was still in contention for a win , but with a couple of tough holes he fell to 2nd place.
Pete was without his sidekick Norm but was waiting smiling at the end of the game saying “ Did anyone beat 20 points “ much to the relief on those that had 21 points and had NAGA hanging over them . ‘Yep yep yep’ was the answer 21 , 22 the odd 25, to which Pete replied , “20 points on each 9 that is “ ……. Yes 40 points for Pete at Rockingham , a great effort , the card had the odd 5 pointer ( I don’t what that would even be ). Jamie Fitzpatrick had another good little cameo round to come in 3rd.

Craig hit a straight low hard drive , about 180 m down and waist height it hit a kangaroo flush in the side scaring the hell out of it . The ball rested between the roo family in which Craig retrieved rather slowly like he was walking in a mine field as a big male was giving him sideways eyes “ that was my wife ! “
