The Mizen show

This week was PAR , a system some people love and others dread for the lack of reward for birdies or the lack sympathy for double bogeys. It was good to see Mike Newman back for a round and above new member Peter get amongst the winners.

Rob was best of the day with his interesting course management styles, using the driver from varying between 80m and 200m and the putter from 150m. However he did it, doesn’t matter he won the day and took out a NTP with it nice and close.

The NTP’s were all pretty close with a few under 1 meter, notably Hammo over the lake and Trevor on the Pines 3rd and almost on the 7th as his ball was around a meter off only for Norm to skim past the hole and be a fraction away from a hole in one and take the NTP. Craig was pretty solid with 10 pars however when trying to play safe made a mess of it and a 3 double bogeys appeared putting an end to a score that was looking around the mid 70’s. Heiney had a shocker but history shows that wont last and he will be amongst the winners in no time.

In other news the new management at Collier have welcomed the club with open arms and at this stage are happy to accommodate us for any fixtures we require . This is fantastic and a relief for the committee as at previous courses booking issues have led to the movement of the club
